Indicator “PHARMA-TEST” BS-T-132/20 steam external chemical disposable, class 4-5 (multivariable) GOST P ISO 11140-1-2009, on a paper-film base with two marks: indicator and reference mark of the color, which should acquire at observance of sterilization parameters. It is intended for operative visual control of compliance with critical parameters of only one sterilization mode indicated on the indicator - sterilization temperature, sterilization holding time and presence of saturated water vapor inside the autoclave chamber at 132°C/20min. It is used in steam sterilizers with forevacuum or multistage vacuum method of air removal from the sterilization chamber

It is highly recommended to use the internal indicator “PHARMA-TEST” BS-T-132/20 and the external indicator “PHARMA-TEST” BS-I-132/20 in one cycle to simultaneously monitor the parameters inside the bag with instruments and the performance of the sterilizer.

Indicators are supplied in A4 sheets and are separated from each other along the perforation line. Indicators are packed in individual packaging with a label (marking) corresponding to the name and type, complete with this instruction and logbook of sterilization parameters F.257/U.

The sticky layer ensures that the indicator is securely fixed at the control point.

Indicator BS-T-“PHARMA-TEST” 132/20 is designed for professional users-personnel of hospitals, disinfection and sanitary-epidemiological services, as well as other organizations and institutions that have the right to carry out sterilization and disinfection activities in operational visual control of the parameters of regimes and conditions in each cycle of steam sterilization of medical devices, inside stacks, packages, sterilization boxes in steam sterilizers with a forced method of preliminary removal.

Disposable external chemical indicator BS-T-“PHARMA-TEST” 132/20 allows to detect deviations from the regulated parameters of modes and conditions of steam sterilization inside the autoclave:

• the presence of air inside the sterilization chamber;
• insufficient duration of the air removal phase, lack of tightness (air leakage) of the sterilizer lid connections during the air removal phase (“purging”);
• inhomogeneity of supplied steam parameters or its non-compliance (fluid, dry, superheated) with the set parameters;
• inappropriate configuration or loading volume of the sterilizer;
• a sterilization mode parameter setting error or a sterilization failure.

To place and fix the indicator BS-T-“PHARMA-TEST” 132/20 outside each sterilization package, stack on the back side of the left part of the indicator, freely from the thermal indicator mark, separate a part of the protective paper covering, covering the sticky layer, and fix the indicator outside the sterilized package, stack with an adhesive layer.

When placing sterilization stacks, boxes (bixes) in the sterilization chamber should be guided by the rules:

• sterilization boxes (bixes) are placed in the sterilization chamber perpendicular to the direction of steam flow in the chamber;
• sterilization boxes (bixes) with a large number (size) are placed at the rear wall of the sterilization chamber;
• the distance from the door (lid) of the steam sterilizer to the sterilization box (bix) must be at least 15 cm;

* in accordance with MU No. 287/113 of 30.12.98, the loading rate of sterilization boxes (stacks) for steam sterilizers that do not have smoking at the stage of “purging” should be reduced from the loading norms
